Puduvai Bharathiar Grama Bank (PBGB) (Tamil: புதுவை பாரதியார் கிராம வங்கி) is a regional rural bank headquartered at Puducherry in the Union Territory of Puducherry, India. The bank is established on 26.3.08 by Government of India vide Ministry of Finance notification no.1/16/2007-RRB (i) dated 26.3.08. The bank is jointly owned by Government of India and Union territory Governments & sponsored by Indian Bank. It is under the ownership of Ministry of Finance, Government of India. It is named after the great poet Subramania Bharati to honor him.[1] It has 47 branches in Puducherry union territory.

Area of Operation

The entire Union Territory of Puducherry covering all the four regions viz Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe & Yanam comes under the operational area of the Bank.
