The Other is an 2025 American supernatural horror film directed and written by Paul Etheredge. It stars Olivia Macklin, Dylan McTee, Avangeline Friedlander, Lily D. Moore, and Shawnee Smith. The film was released in the United States on June 13, 2025.
Premise
Robin and Daniel foster Kathelia who is mute with a dark past that haunts the family.[2]

Production
Paul Etheredge wrote and directed The Other (then titled Psychopomp), with Shawnee Smith, Olivia Macklin, Dylan McTee, Avangeline Friedlander and Lily D. Moore in starring roles.[2] Principal photography took place for 30 days between May 16, 2023 and June 23, 2023.[3][4]
Release
In November 2024, it was reported that Film Mode Entertainment had acquired the film for sales.[5] The film was released on digital in the United States by Quiver Distribution on June 13, 2025.[6]
