      • The Ukrainian military says that it has shot down an Iranian HESA Shahed 136 combat drone operated by Russia near Kupiansk, Kharkiv Oblast. An inscription on the drone identified it as an "M214 Geran-2", which did not immediately correspond to known Russian weaponry. (ABC News)

• Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev agrees to change the name of Kazakhstan's capital from "Nur-Sultan" back to "Astana". He had previously changed the capital's name in 2019 to honor his predecessor Nursultan Nazarbayev. (The Guardian)
