Phillip Sarofim is an American businessman and venture capitalist. He is chairman of Meyers Manx[1] and CEO of Trousdale Ventures.[2]

Early life

Phillip Sarofim was born on April 29, 1986, in Texas, United States. He is the son of Fayez Sarofim, an Egyptian-American billionaire and co-owner of the NFL's Houston Texans, and Linda Hicks Sarofim Lowe.[3][4][5] He grew up in Houston, Texas, and Hawaii. He attended St. John's School and later Rice University.

Career

He is the founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of a venture capital firm Trousdale Ventures. The company's portfolio include Meyers Manx,[6][7] Lemon Perfect,[8] Super Coffee, and CesiumAstro.[2][9]

He has also produced films and documentaries. He was one of the 2023 Tom Ford Plastic Innovation Prize judges.[10]

Car collection

Sarofim is a car enthusiast and collector.[11][12] His collection includes the Lancia Stratos Zero,[13] Aston Martin Bulldog,[14][15] Porsche 911 Ruf CTR, and the Meyers Manx Buggy.[6]

Personal life

Sarofim married Lori Krohn in 2014. He was also in a relationship with singer Avril Lavigne from 2018 to 2019.[16][17][18][19]
