Pavan Kapoor (born 24 December 1966) is an Indian diplomat of the Indian Foreign Service who is currently serving as the Deputy National Security Advisor of India. He previously served as the Secretary (West) in the Ministry of External Affairs, and as an Indian Ambassador to Russia, Israel, UAE and Mozambique.[3]

Career

Pavan Kapoor joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1990. In his diplomatic career, he has served in different Indian Missions abroad, the Ministry of External Affairs, and the Prime Minister's Office in New Delhi. He also served as an international civil servant with the Commonwealth Secretariat in London.[3]

Personal life

Pavan Kapoor married to Aradhana Sharma, who is a freelance journalist.[3] He completed his MBA from IIM Ahmedabad and his MSc from London School of Economics and Political Science.
