Parihuzovce (Hungarian: Juhos, Rusyn: Паризівцї) is a village and municipality in Snina District in the Prešov Region of north-eastern Slovakia.

History

In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1567. Before the establishment of independent Czechoslovakia in 1918, Parizuhovce was part of Zemplén County within the Kingdom of Hungary. From 1939 to 1944, it was part of the Slovak Republic. In the autumn of 1944, the Red Army dislodged the Wehrmacht from Parihuzovce and it was once again part of Czechoslovakia.

Geography

The municipality lies at an altitude of 445 metres and covers an area of 9.521 km2. According to the 2013 census it had a population of 32 inhabitants.
