P.A.O. Kalyvion Football Club (Greek: Π.Α.Ο. Καλυβίων; Παναθηναϊκός Αθλητικός Όμιλος Καλυβίων; Panathinaikos Athlitikos Omilos Kalyvion), is a Greek football club that was established in 1979 at Kalyvia Thorikou.[3]
History
The PAO Kalyvion football club has its first record dating back to 1952, and its initials denote a significant relationship with the Panathinaikos football club, functioning as an acronym for the well-known Athenian giants. In October 1964, the team participated in a friendly match with Panathinaikos football club to strengthen the bond between the two clubs.[4] During the early '60s, the club's colors were green, and it was rebranded as Apollon Kalyvion.[5] The colors associated with the club changed frequently until it was formally founded in 1979.[6] Between 1981 and 2003, the club was active in the Athens FCA football divisions, successfully moving up from the Third Division to the Second Division on two occasions—once in 1991-92 and again in 2000-01. In 2003, the team was relocated to the football divisions of East Attica and secured promotion to the East Attica First Division during the 2003-04 season.[7]

Από το 1981 μέχρι το 2003 η αντρική ομάδα του Π.Α.Ο. Καλυβίων συμμετείχε ανελλιπώς στα πρωταθλήματα της Ε.Π.Σ. Αθηνών με πολλές διακρίσεις. (1991 – 1992: Άνοδος από Γ΄ σε Β΄ κατηγορία Ε.Π.Σ. Αθηνών, 2000 – 2001: Άνοδος από Γ΄ σε Β΄ κατηγορία Ε.Π.Σ. Αθηνών). Από το 2003 έως και σήμερα συμμετέχει σε όλα τα πρωταθλήματα της Ε.Π.Σ. Ανατολικής Αττικής με ακόμα πιο ανοδική πορεία. (2003 – 2004: Άνοδος στην Α΄ κατηγορία της Ε.Π.Σ.ΑΝ.Α., 2010 – 2011: Άνοδος από την Γ΄ στην Β΄ κατηγορία της Ε.Π.Σ.ΑΝ.Α.).
