Optical Society of Japan

The Optical Society of Japan (OSJ) is professional organization of physicists conducting research in Optics. The organization was founded in 1952 as a division of the Japan Society of Applied Physics (JSAP).[1] As of 2004 there were approximately 2000 members.[2] It become a general incorporated association in 2014.[3] It is affiliated with other societies in the area of optics such as Optica.[4] and the European Optical Society.[5]

The main journal of the society is Optical Review,[6] and the membership journal is Kogaku.
