Olivia Garcia (born September 3, 2003) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a forward for Danish Women's League club HB Køge. She played college soccer for the Florida State Seminoles and won the 2023 national championship with the team.

Early life

Garcia grew up in Las Vegas, the daughter of Juan Carlos and Lynne Garcia. She is of Cuban descent.[1] She ran cross country for Cimarron-Memorial High School and won the Class 4A state title in the sport as a senior.[2] She played club soccer for Las Vegas Premier Sports Academy, where she won the USYS under-14 national title in 2017, and Utah Royals FC Arizona.[3][4]

College career

Garcia made 20 appearances (4 starts) and scored 3 goals in her freshman season with the Florida State Seminoles in 2022. The team won the ACC tournament and made the semifinals of the NCAA tournament, losing to North Carolina.[1][5] The following year, she contributed 4 goals in 18 appearances (2 starts) as the Seminoles became undefeated national champions. In the NCAA tournament, she scored the opening goal in the first round against Morehead State and added the last against Texas in the third round.[1][6]

Club career

Danish Women's League club HB Køge announced on February 5, 2024, that the club had signed Garcia to a two-year contract.[7] She scored twice in her professional debut on March 17, 2024, a 3–1 win against AGF.[8] She started all 10 games of the championship rounds, scoring 5 goals, as HB Køge finished third in the 2023–24 season, one point shy of qualifying for the UEFA Women's Champions League.[9]

Garcia scored her first hat trick for the club in a 5–0 win against Kolding IF on October 20, 2024.[10] Having tallied 13 goals in 25 games, she was named HB Køge's Female Player of the Year on November 27, 2024.[11] She raised her production even further down the stretch, twice recording consecutive braces. She finished the 2024–25 season with 18 goals in 24 games, representing just over half of HB Køge's total scoring.[12] She was the Golden Boot runner-up behind Omewa Joy Ogochukwu and came third in voting for the league's Player of the Year award.[13] HB Køge again placed third, again one point away from a Champions League spot, but qualified for the inaugural UEFA Women's Europa Cup.[14]
