Nnamdi Agbo is a Nigerian actor best known for his performance as Skipper in the Netflix original film Hijack '93.[1][2]

Background
Nnamdi Agbo, a native of Enugu State, was born in Lagos, Nigeria on September 1, 1993. He studied Theatre and Film at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.[3]
Career
In 2017, Agbo was awarded a scholarship to attend film school at CinéFabrique, Lyon, France, by the Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF) after being named 'Best Acting Student'. In 2021, he won the maiden edition of Access Bank's Accelerate TV Acting Challenge, and in 2022, he was listed among the Top 3 best male actors by EbonyLife Creative Academy.[4]
In 2019, Nnamdi Agbo appeared as CeeJay in Ordinary Fellows. In 2020, he played Wisdom in the series Crazy, Lovely, Cool, directed by Obi Emelonye which debuted on Netflix. In 2021, he gained more prominence for portraying Mohammed Babangida in Badamasi: Portrait of a General, also directed by Emelonye. In 2022, Agbo wrote, produced and co-directed the short film Bound: Lost In The Moment, which addressed multiple personality disorder.[5]
After appearing in stage plays, Agbo got his big break, playing the lead character Omar a.k.a. Skipper in the Netflix original Hijack '93.[6] The film, directed by Robert O. Peters and written by Musa Jeffery David, is based on the 1993 Nigerian Airways hijack.[7] He also began starring as Prince Nwoye in the Showmax original epic drama series, Cheta'm in the same year.
In 2025, Agbo played a street thug, Soso in the Africa Magic film Everything Light Touches.[8] Both Cheta'm and Everything Light Touches were nominated at the 2025 AMVCAs.[9] The latter won the award for "Best MultiChoice Talent Factory".[10] In May 2025, Agbo debuted in Fix+Foxy's global theatre play The Village, featuring actors in Los Angeles, Mumbai, Istanbul and Lagos, and showing in Denmark.[11][12]
