Nieledew [ɲɛˈlɛdɛf] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Trzeszczany, within Hrubieszów County, Lublin Voivodeship, in eastern Poland.[1] It lies approximately 7 km (4 mi) west of Hrubieszów and 98 km (61 mi) south-east of the regional capital Lublin.

History

In 1899, a sugar factory was established in Nieledew.[2]

During World War II, on 26 May 1944, the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA) attacked the village. The UPA robbed and burned Polish houses, and massacred either 18 or 23 Polish inhabitants.[3] Three of the victims were shot and the others were burned alive.[3]
