The New Renaissance Film Festival is an annual film festival held in London, England. Established in 2015, the festival presents a curated selection of feature films, short films, music videos, and experimental works.
History
Founded in 2015 by Jan Hendrik Verstraten and Massimo Barbato, the festival hosts its screenings at Close-Up Cinema in Shoreditch, while the awards ceremony is held at the Courthouse Hotel in Soho.[1]
Previous festival winners include Sarah Snook, Rachel Shenton and George MacKay.[2] Alumni include Tatiana Maslany and Whoopi Goldberg.[3]
Reception
Metro listed the festival as one of the "Top UK film festivals you need to know about"[4] and El Ibérico as one of "The eight best film festivals in the UK".[5]
