Modern pentathlon at the 2003 Pan American Games was held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, on August 11 and 12, 2003, as part of the XIV Pan American Games. The competition comprised two individual events—men’s and women’s—each featuring five disciplines: fencing, swimming, equestrian show jumping, pistol shooting, and cross-country running. In the men’s event, Vakhtang Iagorashvili of the United States won the gold medal, followed by Chad Senior (USA) and Sergio Salazar (Mexico) for silver and bronze, respectively. In the women’s event, American athlete Anita Allen secured the gold, with Samantha Harvey of Brazil taking silver and Mary Beth Iagorashvili (USA) earning bronze.
