Mill (heraldry)

Mills are sometimes used as a charge in heraldry, usually as a sign for agricultural or industrial endeavours.[1]

Examples

  • A water mill in the arms of Viana de Jadraque, Spain
  • A former coat of arms of the municipality of Säkylä, Finland
  • A windmill in the arms of a family, the "Van Garrett" family.
