Michael Caicedo Sánchez (born June 21, 2003) is a Colombian-Spanish professional basketball player for Stade Rochelais of the LNB Élite.

Early life and youth career

Michael was born in Inca, Mallorca and he is the son of a Colombian father and a Spanish mother.[1] In December 2020, he was named MVP of the Euroleague Basketball Next Generation Tournament in Valencia.[2]

Professional career

Caicedo made his senior debut for Barcelona in the Liga ACB on January 9, 2021, against Manresa.[3] On October 28, 2021, he made his EuroLeague debut playing 21 seconds against Maccabi Tel Aviv.[4] While still a Barcelona player, Caicedo was loaned to Granada in the 2022-23 ACB season[5] and later to Girona in the 2023-24 ACB season.[6]

Caicedo's time at Barcelona ended in July 2024 after reaching an agreement with the club to terminate his contract.[7] On July 22, 2024, Caicedo was announced as a new Força Lleida player for the 2024-25 ACB season.[8] Lleida and Caicedo would reach a mutual agreement to terminate the player's contract before the end of the season.[9]

On March 31, 2025, Caicedo was announced as a new player for Stade Rochelais of the LNB Élite.[10]
