Marcelino Freire

Marcelino Freire (born 1967) is a Brazilian writer. Born in Sertânia in the state of Pernambuco, he is best known for his short story collection Contos negreiros which won the Premio Jabuti and for his debut novel Nossos ossos which was nominated for both the Jabuti Prize and the Sao Paulo Prize for Literature. Other titles include: Amar é Crime, Angu de Sangu, Balé Ralé and Bagageiro.[1][2]
