Mairbek Salimov (Russian: Маирбек Салимов; born 15 June 2002) is a Polish Greco‑Roman wrestler competing in the 63 kg category. He won bronze medals at both the 2024 U23 World Championships and the 2025 European Championships in Bratislava.[1][2]
Career
Mairbek Salimov, originally from Chechnya, competes internationally for Poland. At the 2024 U23 World Wrestling Championships in Tirana, Albania, he secured a bronze medal in the 63 kg Greco‑Roman event.[1]
In April 2025, Salimov earned another bronze at the senior-level European Wrestling Championships in Bratislava. He was one of two Salimov brothers on the podium, alongside Arslanbek.[3][2]
Both brothers also medaled at the Polish senior national championships earlier that season.[4]
