Maggie Leung Man-hau (Chinese: 梁敏巧 born 24 May 1995), is a Hong Kong hostess and actress, she was a reporter for the overseas edition of People's Daily and Oriental Daily (Hong Kong). She entered the entertainment industry by participating in the Miss Hong Kong Pageant 2019 and became a TVB artiste under the TVB manager contract.[1] She also worked as a yoga instructor and piano teacher as a side job later.

Summary

Leung grew up in Sha Tau Kok and Fanling, and attended Fanling Assembly of God Kindergarten, Fanling Public School and Fanling Lutheran Secondary School.[2] She started learning piano at the age of 6 and performed her own compositions on stage when she was in primary school,[3] She was a member of the archery team in secondary school,[4] also obtained a Diploma in Performance (Piano) from Trinity College London. In 2013, she enrolled in the Department of Journalism and Communication at Hong Kong Shue Yan University, and in 2014 she participated in reporting on the Umbrella Movement. In the summer of 2015, she interned at the overseas edition of the People's Daily, mainly responsible for reporting on tourism news. After graduating from university, she joined the Hong Kong news edition of Oriental Daily (Hong Kong). In May 2019, she posted on social media that she felt depressed in life and hoped to find something to stimulate her,[5] so she signed up for the Miss Hong Kong Pageant that year,[6][7][8]during this period, she covered the Anti-Extradition Bill Amendment Movement, and resigned from her job as a reporter after receiving the notification that she was shortlisted for the conference.

Leung had planned to study at the Beijing Film Academy after the competition,[9] but chose to sign with TVB.[10]
