Macrobrochis nigra is a moth of the subfamily Arctiinae.[1][2] It was described by Franz Daniel in 1952[1] or in 1953.[2] It is found in central and western China in Shaanxi (type locality: Mount Taibai[2]), Hubei, Sichuan, and Yunnan provinces.[3] It has been found at an altitude of around 1700 m (5600 ft) a.s.l..[2]
The wingspan is 40–56 mm (1.6–2.2 in).[3]
