Liwa Tahr al-Muhandis (Arabic: لواء تحرير المهندس, romanized: liwa' tathir almuhandis, lit. 'al-Mohandes’s Revenge Brigade') is a militant organization in Iraq
History
It was founded on May 21, 2020, that same day it attacked the Baghdad Airport with Katyusha rockets.[1]
On May 23, 2020 shot down a Boeing CH-47 Chinook with a rocket launcher[2]
On April 17, 2021, attacked some Boeing CH-47 Chinook in Baghdad with two Rockets.[1]
On July 7, 2021 twelve rockets were fired at the Al-Asad Airbase[2]
On August 21, 2022 attacked a convoy in the Saladin Governorate[3]
On June 15, 2023, it claimed the murder of an american soldier in 2017, which contradicted its founding in 2020.[4]
