The Rhode Island Department of Corrections (RIDOC) is a government agency of the U.S. state of Rhode Island, responsible for operating state prisons. Its headquarters are located in Cranston.[3]
The Adult Correctional Institutions (ACI) consist of seven prison buildings situated on the RIDOC grounds in Cranston. This includes five facilities for males and two for females, with an operational capacity of 3,854 inmates.
As of 2020, Rhode Island had no federal prisons within its borders. The following list excludes any municipal jails.
