Ladies of London is an American reality television series that has aired on Bravo since June 2, 2014. The series has aired three seasons, and focuses on the personal and professional lives of six women who reside in London, England, as they balance their social lives, businesses, and families.
Overview
On April 2, 2013, it was announced that Bravo had greenlit the series under the working title: "Ladies of London";[1] produced by Adjacent Productions, a Los Angeles-based production company founded by Jane Tranter that operates under BBC Worldwide Productions, with Izzie Pick Ashcroft and Michael Brooks as executive producers.[2][3] The network—in the press release—said: "Set in the glittering, class-conscious city of London, this new series follows a group of elite British socialites and American expats enjoying the upper crust of the high society world. And while these Brits and Americans all live in the same city, have been married to rock stars, dated royalty, are darlings of the paparazzi and enjoy wealth beyond belief, they are still culturally, worlds apart."[4][5]
The series has aired three seasons, and focuses on the personal and professional lives of six women who reside in London, England, as they balance their social lives, businesses, and families.[6][7]
Format
The format of the series has been likened to The Real Housewives franchise,[8] particularly the opening credits which features green screen footage of each lady in turn, and the title card before the credits end. The ladies were not given taglines.[9] Like many reality television shows, Ladies of London makes use of confessional interviews, in which scenes are interspersed with "talking head" commentary from the cast members. The ladies were not given reunions.[10]
Season 1
In April 2014, it was announced that the debut season would premiere that June.[11][12]
The first season aired from June 2 to July 21, 2014. The original main cast consisted of Juliet Angus, Caprice Bourret, Marissa Hermer, Annabelle Neilson, Noelle Reno, and Caroline Stanbury, with Luke Henderson, Stanbury's friend and makeup artist, and Julie Montagu, Viscountess Hinchingbrooke,[a] Neilson and Bourret's friend, serving as recurring cast members.[13][14] A wide range of public figures made cameo appearances throughout the season; Georgia May Jagger, Ewan McGregor and Eve Mavrakis, Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick, Jeremy Irons and Sinéad Cusack, Clara Paget, Joanne Froggatt, HRH Princess Beatrice of York,[15] Jonathan Rhys Meyers,[16] John Montagu, 11th Earl of Sandwich and Caroline Montagu, Countess of Sandwich[b] (Viscountess Hinchingbrooke's in-laws), Steven Isserlis,[17] Rosemary Shrager, Lucy Mecklenburgh,[18] Charles, Prince of Wales,[c] and Bianca Jagger.[19]
On December 8, 2014, Scot Young, a Scottish property developer and Reno's former fiancée, died after falling from a fourth-floor flat and being impaled on railings at 33 Montagu Square in Marylebone. He was 52.[20][21][22]
In March 2015, Bravo announced that the series had been renewed for a second season.[23]
Prior to being announced, the ninth installment in The Real Housewives franchise, The Real Housewives of Dallas,[24] was initially titled "Ladies of Dallas" during its early production, a potential spin-off to Ladies of London.[25]
Bourret and Reno departed the cast.[26][27]
Season 2
The second season aired from September 7 to November 9, 2015. Angus, Hermer, Neilson, and Stanbury returned to the main cast, and were joined by Caroline Fleming,[d] with Viscountess Hinchingbrooke being promoted to a main cast member; Henderson returned as a recurring cast member, and was joined by Sophie Stanbury, Caroline S's sister-in-law, while Kim Johnson, Caroline F's friend, made guest appearances during the season.[28][29] Throughout the season, cameo appearances were made by Michael Sam, Ralph Douglas-Scott-Montagu, 4th Baron Montagu of Beaulieu,[30] and Naomi Campbell;[31] whilst in Denmark, Danish nobility Baron Niels Krabbe Juel-Brockdorff and his wife, Baroness Molise Juel-Brockdorff (Caroline F's father and stepmother), as well as, Count Preben Ahlefeldt Laurvig (Caroline F's godfather), made cameo appearances.[32]
Neilson announced her departure from the series in a post to her official Instagram account,[e] immediately following the airing of the finale episode, after two seasons.[33][34]
In April 2016, Bravo announced that the series had been renewed for a third season.[35][36]
Season 3
The third season aired from November 29, 2016, to February 7, 2017.[37] Angus, Hermer, Stanbury, Fleming, and Viscountess Hinchingbrooke returned to the main cast, with Sophie Stanbury being promoted to a main cast member; Henderson returned as a recurring cast member, and was joined by Adela King, Caroline S's friend, while Johnson was promoted to a recurring cast member.[38] Throughout the season, cameo appearances were made by Nicole O'Neil from The Real Housewives of Sydney,[39][40] and Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott.[41]
The series was placed on indefinite hiatus and was never officially cancelled.[42]
On July 12, 2018, Annabelle Neilson, an original main cast member and muse for Alexander McQueen, died from a heart attack at her home in Chelsea, London. She was 49.[43][44][45]
In April 2022, Caroline Stanbury was announced as a main cast member on the Bravo reality television series The Real Housewives of Dubai.[46][47]
Revival
On May 7, 2025, it was announced that the series would be revived by Bravo for a fourth season.[48][49][50] The network—in the press release—said: "Ladies of London is back with a new wave of British blue bloods, ambitious American expats and glamorous international socialites. As tradition clashes with the fast-paced globalized world, these power players redefine what it means to be a woman of status in one of the most iconic cities in the world. Here connections are currency and the crown isn't the only thing up for grabs."[51]
In May 2025, Juliet Angus was announced as a main cast member on the Hayu reality television series The Real Housewives of London.[52]

Reception
The series received mixed reviews.[89][90][91][92][93][94][95] The series was praised for the closeness and sophistication between Royal cast members.[96] The series was also praised for filming at Mapperton House in the Mapperton hamlet in Dorset, England,[97][98][99] and at Valdemar's Castle in Tåsinge, near Svendborg, in southern Denmark.[100][101][102][103] The first episode in the second season was compared to the ITV historical drama series Downtown Abbey.[104]
While speaking to The Telegraph on August 6, 2018, Julie Montagu, Viscountess Hinchingbrooke[a] spoke about her experiences on the series, most of which was negative. She said: "We thought long and hard before accepting as it offered financial support for a while. But in a way not fun to do. I was expected to behave in a way I wasn't, like an It girl or socialite, when I'm not. They edit you... You have to go along with things or you get fired. But you know it is as a job. I was acting."[105]
