Kotwali Model Thana (Bengali: কোতোয়ালী মডেল থানা) is an administrative thana under the Barisal in southern Bangladesh, with 40.33 square kilometers.[1] Established in 2007, the thana includes 20 urban wards and Jagua Union from Barisal Sadar Upazila.[1] According to the 2001 census, the population was 165,050, with a literacy rate of 74.82%.[1]
Geography
Kotwali Model Thana borders Nalchity, Bakerganj upazilas in the north, Bandar Thana, Barisal in the east, Jhalokathi Sadar Upazila in the west.[1]
History
Kotwali Model Thana was formed in 2007.[1]
Administration
20 wards are under the jurisdiction of Kotwali Model Thana.[1]
One union council, which is Jagua Union, is also under the jurisdiction of Kotwali Model Thana.[1]
