Kim Hong-jae (Korean김홍재), known professionally as Kim Hong-pa (김홍파), is a South Korean actor.

Career

He is a member of the agency Management Pieona (매니지먼트 피어나).[1] Previously, he was represented by Starvillage Entertainment (스타빌리지엔터테인먼트).[2]

On July 31, 2013, he appeared in the film The Terror Live as Police Commissioner Joo Jin-chul.

On December 17, 2015, he joined the cast of the film The Tiger: An Old Hunter's Tale (also known as "The Tiger") where he played the owner of an herbal medicine shop and friend of Chun Man-duk (Choi Min-sik).

In November 2016, he joined the recurring cast of the series Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim where he played Yeo Woon-young, an internal medicine specialist and director of Doldam Hospital.[3]

In March 2017, he appeared in the drama Whisper as Kang Yoo-taek, the father of lawyer Kang Jung-il (Kwon Yul). Actor Lee Si-eon portrayed the younger version. In May 2017, he joined the cast of Suspicious Partner as Jang Moo-young, a prosecutor and father of Jang Hee-joon (Hwang Chan-sung).

In May 2018, he played Bub Won-jang, the Chief Justice of Seoul Central District Court in Miss Hammurabi. In August, he portrayed Eo Soo-yeol, the chief of Poongsan Police Station in Voice 2.

In January 2019, he appeared in the film The Dude in Me as CEO Han, father of Han Seo-yeon (Min Ji-ah).

In January 2020, he reprised his role as proud doctor Yeo Woon-young in Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim 2.[4]
