Kikugawa (Japanese: 菊川町, romanized: Kikugawa-chō) was a town located in Ogasa District, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan.[1] On January 17, 2005, Kikugawa was merged with the town of Ogasa to form the city of Kikugawa, and it ceased to exist as an independent municipality.[2] The climate is generally warm, and the area is known for producing deep-steamed tea (Fukamushi or Kikugawa tea).[3][4]
