Khangar (community)

The Khangars and neighbouring South Asian polities circa 1250 CE.[1]

The Khangar community are an Indian shudr community. In historical studies many Evidence are found that they was rulers, They are referred to by many other names, such as Khangaar, Khungar, Khengar, Khagar, Khangdhar .[2]

The Khangars were formerly classified as a criminal tribe under the Criminal Tribes Acts of the British Raj.

Classification

The Khangar caste, enlisted in General category in many states of India.
