Kay Adroa

Khezia Adroa Amin (died August 1974) commonly known as Kay Adroa was the second wife of Idi Amin, the president of Uganda from 1971 to 1979, in 1966.[1] She was from the same region as Amin, West Nile.[1]

Education

She was among the first Lugbara women to study at Makerere University.[1]

Personal life

She was a Christian and the daughter of Reverend Adroa in Arua district.[2] Idi Amin divorced her in 1973[2] or 1974.[3]

On 13 August 1974, she was found dead, allegedly as a result of an incomplete abortion.[4] It was alleged, however, that she had been murdered by Idi Amin[5] along with other alleged killings.[6] Her death was possibly connected to the purges after the Arube uprising.[3]
