Kate Vargas is an Albuquerque, NM born, New York based singer and songwriter whose lyrical themes extend from folk to supernatural.[1] Her gravely voice, reminiscent of Tom Waits, has reached audiences across the US as well as at the Ireland’s Westport Folk and Bluegrass Festival[2]

She has released a number of solo albums including For The Wolfish & Wandering and Rumpumpo.[1][3]

Currently, she is working on a project called Sgt. Splendor with Eric McFadden.[4] Their first album "Occasions for Self Congratulations" came out in 2022. [5]
