Kashmir News Service Private Limited is Jammu and Kashmir’s first online leading News agency with sister publication including The Kashmir Magazine.[1] Founded in January 2002, KNS[2] has emerged as one of the premier and credible bi-lingual news agency in Jammu and Kashmir.
With the onset of digital journalism KNS expanded its outreach to the global audience through social media and other online platforms with extensive coverage to breaking news and day-to-day happenings from across cities, towns and villages of J&K. Keeping with the principles of free and fair press, KNS has the distinction of being credible news agency to its audience.

Achievements
- In 2012, Kashmir News Service (KNS) was honored with the State Award[3] in recognition of its pioneering role as the first online news agency in the state. The award was received by Mohd Aslam Bhat on behalf of KNS, acknowledging the agency’s significant contribution to digital journalism and its extensive global reach as a leading online news platform.
- It has been also honored with the Assembly Award for Best Coverage in both 2004 and 2008, recognizing its excellence in journalistic reporting during those years.
