Kalamkaval is an upcoming Indian Malayalam-language crime thriller film directed by debutant Jithin K. Jose.[1] It is produced by Mammootty Kampany.[2] The film stars Mammootty and Vinayakan in the lead roles with Gibin Gopinath, Gayatri Arun, and Rajisha Vijayan in supporting roles.[3] The screenplay is co-written by Jithin K. Jose and Jishnu Sreekumar.[4]
The film is scheduled for theatrical release in India on 1 August 2025.[5]

Production
The film marks the directorial debut of Jithin K. Jose, who previously worked as a writer on the film Kurup.[8] The film is marked as seventh production venture of Mammootty Kampany.[9] The cinematography is handled by Faisal Ali, while Mujeeb Majeed composed the music. Editing is done by Praveen Prabhakar.[10] The film completed its shoot in November 2024 and is currently in post-production.[11]
Release
The first look of the film was released 16 February 2025.[12][13] The second look was released on 20 April 2025.[14][15] The film is scheduled for theatrical release in India on August 1, 2025.[16]
