Jeswin Aldrin (born 24 December 2001) is an Indian track and field athlete who specializes in long jump and holds the national record with a mark of 8.42 meters.[3] Aldrin represented India at the 2024 Paris Olympics, where he finished 26th in the men's long jump event.[4]

Personal information

Aldrin is from Tamil Nadu, India. He was born to Johnson Isaac (father) and Esther Selva Rani (mother).[5] He has two younger brothers, Jerwin Isaac and Joywin Joseph. His elder sister is Adriana Simon and younger sister is Francina Simon. Jeswin Aldrin's uncle Simon Isaac who lives in Chennai plays a major role in shaping Jeswin Aldrin.

Career

Aldrin qualified in long jump for 2022 World Athletics Championships but failed to qualify for finals.[6][7] In the 2023 World Athletics Championships, he qualified for the finals in the 12th and last position.[8] He holds national record with an 8.42m jump.[9][10]
