Janów [ˈjanuf] is a village in Częstochowa County, Silesian Voivodeship, in southern Poland. It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Janów.[1] It lies approximately 24 km (15 mi) east of Częstochowa and 61 km (38 mi) north-east of the regional capital Katowice.
Rose Girone, the oldest Holocaust survivor at the time of her death on February 25, 2025, was born in Janów.[2]
