James Hector MacDonald (April 28, 1925 – May 30, 2025) was a Canadian Roman Catholic prelate. He served as the archbishop of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of St. John's, Newfoundland from 1991 to 2000.[1][2]

MacDonald died at the Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital in St. Catharines, Ontario, on May 30, 2025, at the age of 100.[3][4][5][6]
