Hovhannes (Armenian: Հովհաննես (reformed); Յովհաննէս (classical)), also spelled Hovhanes, Hovannes or Hovanes is an Armenian name equivalent to English John. It is comparable with Ioannes in Greek or Johannes in Latin.
