Han Kun Law Offices, commonly known as Han Kun, is a multinational law firm headquartered in Beijing with domestic offices across China, and international offices in Hong Kong, Singapore, New York City and Silicon Valley.[1] Counting multinational companies, funds, and a number of top-notch companies from new economic sectors as clients, Han Kun is widely considered to be one of the most elite law firms in China.[2] Starting off as a private equity/venture capital specialist, the firm has rapidly enhanced its capacity in recent years. This growth includes the establishment of Han Kun international offices, which have attracted lawyers from other top international law firms, including those within the "Magic Circle"[3] and "Big Law".[4]

Han Kun is also exclusive China law firm member of WSG[5] and Pacific Rim Advisory Council.[6]

History

Han Kun in China and Hong Kong

Han Kun was founded in Beijing in 2004.

In 2009, Han Kun opened its Shanghai and Shenzhen offices.

In 2014, Han Kun entered the Hong Kong market through an association with a Hong Kong law firm. The Hong Kong office is Han Kun's first office outside of mainland China.

In April 2022, the Haikou office of Han Kun was officially opened.

In July 2022, the Wuhan office of Han Kun was officially opened.

In November 2022, Han Kun's Hong Kong office merged with its Hong Kong associated law firm. Upon the merger, a Hong Kong law firm operated by Han Kun under the name “Han Kun Law Offices LLP” was duly established.

Overseas Expansion

In June 2023, Han Kun opened its first international office in Singapore, representing a significant milestone in the firm's global strategy.

In December 2023, Han Kun announced the official opening and operation in New York City of Han Kun LLP. Han Kun New York is located at the Rockefeller Center, 620 Fifth Avenue, New York City, the United States of America.
