Great Planes Model Manufacturing Company of Champaign, Illinois, United States, was a radio-controlled model manufacturer and distributor and a part of Hobbico, Incorporated.

Don Anderson founded Great Planes Model Manufacturing in 1982, aiming to address the quality issues prevalent in RC aircraft kits at the time. The company pioneered the use of computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-controlled machinery to produce precision-cut, interlocking airframe components. This innovation significantly improved the ease of assembly and structural integrity of RC models, setting new industry standards.
