Goulburn Valley Health

Goulburn Valley Health, formerly called the Goulburn Valley Base Hospital, is the main health service in the Goulburn Valley. Services include a 24-hour Emergency Department, Surgery, Medical Services, Women’s and Children’s Services, Rehabilitation and Palliative Care, Mental Health, Outpatients and community-based health programs. In addition to its main site on Graham Street, Shepparton, GV Health has three smaller sites in the nearby towns of Rushworth, Tatura, and Euroa with acute and aged care beds.

In the year 2023–2024, GV Health -

  • had 43,161 emergency department presentations
  • had 38,640 inpatient separations
  • had 6,004 elective admissions
  • had 904 births
  • had 784 critical care encounters
