Golakowa Szyja [ɡɔlaˈkɔva ˈʂɨja] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Hajnówka, within Hajnówka County, Podlaskie Voivodeship, in north-eastern Poland, close to the border with Belarus.[1] It lies approximately 11 kilometres (7 mi) north of Hajnówka and 44 km (27 mi) south-east of the regional capital Białystok.
