Friedrich von Schenck

Wolfgang Friedrich Wilhelm von Schenck VIII. colloquially Friedrich von Schenck (16 January 1851 – 20 April 1912) was a German businessman, industrialist and advocate.^[1][2][3]

Schenck was born 16 January 1851 in Arnsberg, Kingdom of Prussia, the oldest of three children, of Wolfgang Friedrich von Schenck (1802–1885), judiciary council and notary, and his fourth wife, Auguste Lisette von Schenck (née Weiskirch; 1819–1888). He had two younger sisters; Tutta von Schenck (1852–1915) and Huberta Kessler (née von Schenck; 1854–1933). He had six half-sisters from the three previous marriages of his father.

On 11 September 1883, Schenck married Emilie Marie Louise Lenné (1859–1931), of Cologne, in Bad Neuenahr. They had nine children;

• Auguste Marie Zoé von Schenck (1884–1970), married Kurt Edwin Stubenrauch, had two children.
• Wolfgang-Friedrich Wilhelm von Schenck, IX. (1885–1960), wood merchant in Potsdam, married Margarete Lina Herbers (1905–1971), without issue.
• Hedwig Natalie Maria von Schenck (1888–1984), never married and without issue.
• Marie Helene Antonie von Schenck (1889–1990), horticulture teacher, never married and without issue.
• Eugenie Josephine Hertha "Teddy" von Schenck (1891–1983), artist and social worker, never married and without issue.
• Helene Marie Eleonore von Schenck (1894–1978), clergy, never married and without issue.
• Hans-Conrad Heinrich von Schenck (1896–1917), merchant and captain, died during World War I.
• Bernard Volkwin "Berndt" von Schenck (1900–1989), married Anna Elisabeth Katharina Stein (1909–1999), without issue.
• Elisabeth Irmgard Alma "Elsbeth" von Schenck (1902–1936), social worker, never married and without issue.

Von Schenck resided on Wilhelmshöhe in Kassel where he died on 20 April 1912 aged 61.
