Prior to winning the mayoralty, Arnold served a term on Moncton City Council as a city councillor at large, and was the chair of the city's Frye Festival.[5]
She was re-elected in May 2021, in an election which had been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic in New Brunswick.[6]
