Dastgerd (Persian: دستگرد)[a] is a village in Alqurat Rural District of the Central District of Birjand County, South Khorasan province, Iran.
Demographics
Population
At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 296 in 91 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 1,328 people in 373 households.[5] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 3,365 people in 898 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district.[2]

Dastgerd (Persian: دستگرد), also romanized as Dastgird and , is a village in Alqurat Rural District of the Central District of Birjand County, South Khorasan province, Iran. It lies at approximately 32°55′4″ N 59°17′43″ E and observes Iran Standard Time (UTC+3:30). The village experienced rapid population growth, rising from 296 residents in 91 households in 2006, to 1,328 in 373 households in 2011, and reaching 3,365 people in 898 households by the 2016 census, making it the most populous village in its rural district. Situated within the arid climate zone of South Khorasan, Dastgerd lies near the urban center of Birjand and forms part of a broader network of rural settlements that support the county's agricultural and local economic activity.
