Lieutenant General Chiragh Haider Baloch is a retired Pakistan Army officer who has held several prominent military and civilian positions, including as Corps Commander of II Corps and Secretary of Defence Production in the Government of Pakistan.[1]
Early life and education
Baloch hails from Sahiwal, in Sargodha District, Punjab, Pakistan. He was commissioned into the Frontier Force Regiment of the Pakistan Army.
Military career
He commanded an infantry division in Jhelum, a brigade and also served with. ander of II Corps based in Multan in September 2021.[2]
Baloch was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General in September 2019.[3][4]
He is one of those generals whose names have been sent to the President for the Post of Army Chief.[5]
Post-retirement
In March 2024, he was appointed as Secretary of Defence Production, under the Ministry of Defence Production (Pakistan).[6]
