Camino Tassajara (Spanish for "Path of Carne Seca")[4] is a census-designated place[5] in Contra Costa County, California. Camino Tassajara sits at an elevation of 814 feet (248 m). The 2020 United States census reported Camino Tassajara's population was 4,951.

Camino Tassajara first appeared as a census designated place in the 2010 U.S. Census.[7] It contains no area from the Blackhawk-Camino Tassajara CDP (since renamed Blackhawk CDP).[7]

2020 census
The 2020 United States census reported that Camino Tassajara had a population of 4,951. The population density was 3,880.1 inhabitants per square mile (1,498.1/km2). The racial makeup of Camino Tassajara was 29.5% White, 2.1% African American, 0.2% Native American, 57.6% Asian, 0.1% Pacific Islander, 2.1% from other races, and 8.4% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 5.7% of the population.[10]
The whole population lived in households. There were 1,439 households, out of which 61.6% included children under the age of 18, 77.3% were married-couple households, 1.9% were cohabiting couple households, 14.5% had a female householder with no partner present, and 6.2% had a male householder with no partner present. 9.9% of households were one person, and 4.8% were one person aged 65 or older. The average household size was 3.44.[10] There were 1,269 families (88.2% of all households).[11]
The age distribution was 32.6% under the age of 18, 6.1% aged 18 to 24, 18.7% aged 25 to 44, 32.5% aged 45 to 64, and 10.1% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 40.8 years. For every 100 females, there were 93.9 males.[10]
There were 1,491 housing units at an average density of 1,168.5 units per square mile (451.2 units/km2), of which 1,439 (96.5%) were occupied. Of these, 81.4% were owner-occupied, and 18.6% were occupied by renters.[10]
Education
The school district is San Ramon Valley Unified School District.[12]
