Billy Carlson (born July 29, 2006) is an American high school baseball shortstop.

Career

Carlson attends Corona High School in Corona, California.[1] He plays shortstop and is also a pitcher.[2] As a junior in 2024, he hit .367 with four home runs and 21 runs batted in (RBI) and had a 0.60 earned run average (ERA) and five saves serving as the team's closer.[3][4]

Carlson is a top prospect for the 2025 Major League Baseball draft.[5] He is teammates with Seth Hernandez, who is also considered a first round prospect for the draft.[6] Carlson originally committed to play college baseball at Vanderbilt University before flipping to University of Tennessee.[7][8]
