Baron of Gabe de Massarelos was a noble title created by King Luís I of Portugal, by Decree of 16 August and Royal Charter of 25 August 1870, in favour of Ludovico Pedro Gabe de Massarelos.[1]

Coat of arms

Shield: divided at the chief, and this chief parted per pale: in the first, on a silver field, the bust of a woman in red; in the second, on a red field, a silver unicorn rampant. The counter-chief is chequy, in silver and blue squares, of eight pieces per fess, forming a chessboard pattern in alternating colours.[2]

Crest: a vigorous cedar tree, and as a motto above the crest, a ribbon arranged in an arch bearing the legend — Semper virens ("Always green").[2]
