Astegopteryx minuta is a horned aphid in the subfamily Hormaphidinae.[1][2] It was described from Java and also occurs in India.[1] They feed on bamboo leaves where they form sparse colonies.[2] In securing their feeding sites, individual aphids engage in aggressive contests.[3]
