András Vaszkó

András Vaszkó (born 1994 in Gyomaendrőd, Hungary) is a Hungarian meteorologist and weather presenter. He is widely recognized for his role as a key figure in RTL Hungary’s weather broadcasting team, where he delivers daily forecasts and extreme weather alerts.^[1][2][3][4]

Vaszkó was born in Gyomaendrőd, a town in southeastern Hungary. From an early age, he developed a strong interest in meteorology, fascinated by the complexity and variability of weather phenomena. He pursued his passion academically and graduated in 2018 with a degree in meteorology from Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) in Budapest.^[1]

After graduating in 2018, Vaszkó began his professional career at the Hungarian Meteorological Service (Országos Meteorológiai Szolgálat). He worked as a severe weather warning meteorologist, focusing on the forecasting and analysis of extreme weather events such as storms and heatwaves.^[1]

In 2020, Vaszkó transitioned to television when RTL Hungary announced he would be joining their weather team. Since then, he has become a familiar face to viewers across the country, delivering weather forecasts before and after the RTL Híradó (RTL News) broadcasts. Known for his expertise and clear communication, he plays an important role in helping the public understand daily and long-term weather trends.^[1]

He enjoys hiking and often attends theatre performances, which he considers both a source of inspiration and relaxation.
