Ana Nogueira is an American actress, playwright, and screenwriter. She is known for her roles as Sarah on Sarah + Dee and Penny Ares on The Vampire Diaries. She originated the role of Eliza Hamilton in the original Vassar workshop production of Lin-Manuel Miranda's stage musical Hamilton.

She has written the plays Empathitrax [2] and Which Way to the Stage.[3]

She recently started collaborating with James Gunn on his DC Universe, screenwriting the film Supergirl (2026) and an untitled Teen Titans film.[4][5]

Early life

Nogueira grew up in East Falls, Philadelphia, and attended Friends' Central School.[6] She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee in 2007.[7]

Personal life

She is married to actor/writer Nick Blaemire.[8]
