Alexandru Solovei (born 23 June 2004) is a Moldovan Greco-Roman wrestler who competes in the 77 kg weight class. He is the 2021 Cadet World Champion, the 2024 U20 World silver medalist, and won bronze at the 2025 European Championships in Bratislava.
Career
Solovei rose to prominence by winning the gold medal in the 71 kg category at the 2021 World Cadets Wrestling Championships held in Budapest, Hungary.[1]
In April 2025, Solovei made his senior-level debut at the 2025 European Wrestling Championships in Bratislava, Slovakia. He won a bronze medal in the 77 kg Greco-Roman event, marking his first podium finish at a continental senior event.[2]
