Alan Douglas Schrift (born 1955) is a distinguished, emeritus professor of philosophy at Grinnell College.[1] He is the General Editor of The Complete Works of Friedrich Nietzsche at Stanford University Press.[2]

Life and works

Schrift earned his Bachelor of Arts (with honors) from Brown University in 1977, followed by a Master of Arts in 1980 and Doctor of Philosophy in 1983, both from Purdue University. with a dissertation on “Nietzsche and the Question of Interpretation: Hermeneutics, Deconstruction, Pluralism”.[1][3][4][5]
